Los Angeles, CA’s KAURA and AOL’s Noisecreep.com Team Up to Unveil New Track, ‘Awakening The Seed’

California natives KAURA and AOL’s Noisecreep.com are pleased to bring you a brand new track, ‘Awakening The Seed’, unveiled yesterday at this location. The track was recorded to be part of a short film entitled ‘Subject 6’ by director Seda James, and was previous unreleased until today. Make sure to check out the track and stay tuned for more upcoming news about KAURA.

KAURA recently announced that major Los Angeles rock station KROQ, in partnership with Mercedes, will be including KAURA’s track ‘If This Were to End’ on the new “Locals Only” compilation in the form of a custom memory stick. KAURA is one of 20 bands that were chosen to be included and will be supported through on air promotional spots featuring the selected artists. The band will also be highlighted on the KROQ.com contest page where fans will get the chance to win the compilation.

‘If This Were to End’ is cut from the band’s new album, That Which Defines Us, which was released on September 20th, 2011. Produced by singer Malcolm Guess, That Which Defines Us is a testament of dedication, taking over two years to record with the assistance of rock luminaries such as Sylvia Massey (Tool, System of a Down, Danzig), Ken Andrews (Failure, A Perfect Circle) and Michael Romanowski (Dredg). Central to the album’s sound were instruments that the band collected on their travels to India, Thailand, Bali, Cambodia, Laos, and Nepal.

Roxy Taylor Reports! Michael Anthony Exclusive!

Roxy (ME!) & Michael Anthony
Hey my fellow rockers and rockettes!

My recent trip to NAMM 2011 was awesome! Several of today's artists such as Orianthi, Tommy Thayer of KISS, Eric Bass of Shinedown, and Michael Anthony of Chickfoot/Van Halen were there. The highlight of the whole week was my exclusive interview with Michael Anthony, and I mean exclusive. I considered myself very lucky to land the only television interview with him. You will see this interview on an upcoming episode of Rusty Cooley's Guitar Asylum TV dedicated to bass players! Can I hear some slapping da bass man! Being a bass player myself, we should get more credit. If it wasn't for us and the drummer, the guitar players couldn't keep time! Right Rusty Cooley?

Back to Michael Anthony, we talked about them entering the studio to record their next album and a new tour possibly with or without Chad Smith depending if the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be touring this summer. Rumors were flying about Tommy Lee sitting in, but with the announcement of the Motley Crue/Poison summer tour, that's not going to happen. One cool thing you'll hear in my interview with Michael is he has no hard feelings about not being a part of Van Halen anymore. He wishes them the best.
